General Information

ION Solutions attaches great importance to the protection and security of your personal data on its website “ion-solutions.at”. For that reason, data is stored and processed on this website solely in accordance with the provisions of the Austrian and European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As a user you consent to the processing of data in accordance with this policy. You can access the current version of the General Data Protection Regulation at this link: http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/HTML/?uri=CELEX:32016R0679

This privacy policy relates exclusively to the use of the ION Solutions website. If you are directed to other websites via links on our pages, you should inform yourself about the handling of your data directly on the website concerned.

Your personal data such as name, email address and telephone number is collected and processed by ION Solutions either on the basis of your consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (in the case of a contact enquiry) or in order to safeguard the legitimate interests of the controller pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The only legitimate interest is the administration of data for communication and correspondence regarding the information you have requested about ION Solutions and our website “ion-solutions.at”.

The following provisions give information about the content, scope and purpose of the collection, processing and use of personal data in connection with the use of the ION Solutions website “ion-solutions.at”.

As a rule, it is possible to use the website “ion-solutions.at” without providing personal data. Where personal data such as names or email addresses is collected on our pages, this is always done voluntarily and as far as possible. ION Solutions is committed to ensuring that all data collected is treated in accordance with applicable data protection law and used only for the stated purpose. In order to correct the data stored with us, the data you transmit or enter is checked either manually or automatically for validity and currency and, where necessary, reconciled when you instruct us via our website. It is possible that our staff will need to contact you. The information you enter is used solely to process your order or to handle your registration. Data is not passed on to third parties.

Security gaps can occur when data is transmitted over the internet, for example in communication by email or via unencrypted websites.

Hosting and Operation

ION Solutions attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data on the website “ion-solutions.at”. When you visit our website, data about every access to the server on which this service is located (also referred to as “server log files”) is stored on the basis of our legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. This data comprises your IP address, the name of the particular sub-page accessed, browser information (e.g. Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or similar), the volume of data transferred, the operating system, referrer URLs (the previously visited URL through which our page was reached) and a timestamp.

ION Solutions does not use this information and, as a rule, does not pass it on to third parties either. However, it cannot be ruled out that this data may have to be used in the event of unlawful conduct. This is of great importance in order to detect and stop attacks on our platform and, where appropriate, to take legal action. This data is exempt from routine deletion until the incident in question has been conclusively clarified.

The hosting services used by ION Solutions serve to provide the infrastructure and platform services, storage and database services, computing capacity, security services and technical maintenance services that we require for the efficient and secure operation of this online offering pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 28 GDPR.

ION Solutions points out that when using the platform, facilities are provided for submitting enquiries. These areas include contact enquiries.

In the course of this, the data entered is processed, including name, email address and comments or messages. In addition, for the purpose of performing the contract, customer contract data such as the subject matter of the contract, its term and the customer category, as well as payment transactions, order data and other remarks, is stored by ION Solutions.

The data provided by users is required for the performance of the contract or for taking pre-contractual steps. Without this data, ION Solutions cannot conclude a contract with the user. Data is not transferred to third parties, with the exception of the transfer of credit card / bank details to the processing banks / payment service providers for the purpose of debiting the purchase price, to the transport or shipping company commissioned by ION Solutions for delivery of the goods, and to the tax adviser for the fulfilment of tax obligations.

All accounting-relevant data is stored for 7 years in accordance with the legal obligation under Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, and beyond that for as long as statutory obligations require. Data supporting organisational processing (e.g. logs) is stored for 7 years on the basis of a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, by analogy with the accounting records. All other data based on consent is stored for 3 years from the last contact with the interested party.

In cases where there is a legitimate interest in longer retention, ION Solutions reserves the right to retain data for the duration of the statutory limitation period of 30 years. A legitimate interest exists in particular where retention of the data is necessary to defend against claims that become time-barred after 30 years. The same applies to possible claims of our own that become time-barred within the 30-year limitation period (e.g. claims for damages in respect of hidden defects, statutory claims for unjust enrichment, etc.).

After the period has expired, the data is deleted or anonymised to such an extent that conclusions about an identifiable person are no longer possible.

HTTPS Encryption

In order to transmit data securely over the internet, ION Solutions uses HTTPS. HTTPS makes use of TLS (Transport Layer Security), an encryption protocol for the secure transmission of data over the internet which, among other things, protects confidential data. The small padlock symbol at the top left of your browser and the use of the scheme “https” as part of our internet address indicate the use of this protection for data transmission.

Cookies

HTTP cookies are used on our platform “ION Solutions” to store individual user data.

A cookie is a small packet of data exchanged between web browsers and web servers, but of no relevance to them in itself. It only becomes meaningful in web applications such as an online shop — for example, the contents of a virtual shopping basket.

There are two categories of cookie: first-party cookies are created by our platform “ION Solutions”, while third-party cookies are created by other websites. There are three types of cookie: strictly necessary cookies, which support the basic functions of the platform; functional cookies, which support the performance of the platform; and targeting cookies, which improve the user experience.

Without your consent, ion-solutions.at sets no cookies. Only once you consent to audience measurement are the cookies listed under “Web Analytics with Matomo” set.

You can delete or deactivate cookies already on your computer at any time via your browser. The procedure differs depending on the browser. The best approach is to look up the instructions in a search engine of your choice, entering search terms such as “instructions delete cookies” together with the browser you actually use (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Samsung Mobile, Android Browser or similar).

Please note that deactivating cookies may limit the functionality of our platform “ION Solutions”.

Web Analytics with Matomo

The open-source software Matomo is used on ion-solutions.at for audience measurement. Matomo is self-hosted by us (matomo.ion-solutions.de) — the data collected does not leave our own infrastructure and is not transferred to third parties.

Processing takes place exclusively after your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give via the cookie notice. Without consent, Matomo is not loaded and no cookies are set.

Once consent has been given, the following cookies are set:

  • _pk_id — recognition of the visit (storage period 13 months)
  • _pk_ses — short-lived session cookie (storage period 30 minutes)

The data processed includes in particular a truncated IP address, the pages accessed, time spent, referrer URL and browser and device information. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings.

Contact Form

When you use the contact form, the data you enter (name, email address, subject and message) is transmitted to us and stored in order to process your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

To protect against automated submissions we use only technical measures that operate without transferring any data to third parties (a hidden form field and a timing check). An external anti-spam service such as Google reCAPTCHA is not used.

Your Rights

As a data subject you have the following rights: the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and the right to object (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise these rights, a message to office@ion-solutions.at is sufficient.

Irrespective of this, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. The competent authority is the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna (dsb.gv.at).

Changes to the ION Solutions Privacy Policy

We at ION Solutions reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy from time to time so that it always complies with current legal requirements, or in order to reflect changes to our services in the privacy policy, for example when introducing new services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit to ion-solutions.at.
